It's one week after the election... How are you feeling?
The energy this past week has been off the charts. Whether you're in the United States or not, each person is having their own response to the US election outcome. And, the result is that there's a whole lot of emotional energy bouncing around the collective.
So if you're feeling the emotional intensity, know that it's not just yours.
And, there are things you can do about it.
One of the most important things to do for yourself is to stay grounded. You can do this very simply by taking the time to notice your feet touching the ground, your bottom in a chair.. the ways your body is naturally supported by the earth. Another helpful grounding technique is to hold a rock in your hands, or carry one with you (not a crystal, a rock that you can pick up from the ground outside.)
Energy clearing is also super supportive at a time like this, to help release some of the intensity which may have built up in your system. I offered clearing on my Facebook page since the results started rolling in on Tuesday night, and one participant said this:
"I haven't felt this good emotionally in a long time. On Wednesday morning I woke up feeling awful, I was exhausted, I felt like my bones even hurt. Then I got present to the emotional stuff around everything going on in the world. I started to feel better yesterday afternoon, I had thought it would take quite some time for me to get to feeling good. I had great sleep, not usual for me. I woke up feeling good and the day has progressively improving, both emotionally and in my level of energy. I usually take a nap most days out of necessity but today I didn't. I'm so grateful."
I'm so grateful to be able to offer something of benefit. Taking action in this way has helped me too, as I integrate my own response to events.
